Policy Statement

It is the policy of Mohave County Parks to conduct all operations in compliance with established statutes, ordinances, safety and health codes.

Authorization

These regulations were enacted by the Mohave County Parks Administration through approval of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors.

Campgrounds Procedures

  • Fees are payable immediately upon occupying a campsite. Nonpayment of fees is a class one misdemeanor (ARS 13-1802.A.6). Friends and family are not exempt from fees when occupying additional spaces.
  • All vehicles entering the park must display a valid permit.
  • No more than two sites may be consecutively reserved by a single party without permission of the Park Superintendent. Consideration shall be given by the Park Superintendent to entities accepting responsibility for a group such as a corporate, club or other organized group function.
  • Rates include up to 4 adults. There is an additional charge for larger parties. Camping fees are determined by the number of vehicles and/or tents.
  • A surcharge will be added for each pet, with a limit of 2. See pet rules.
  • RV spaces will not be assigned to unregistered vehicles.
  • Per Section IV of Mohave County Ordinance 2007-09 and Arizona Administrative Code (Title 9, Chapter 8, Article 6) related to public health at campgrounds. Health code requires that proper sewage connections are maintained to allow for proper disposal of sewage and prevention of any public nuisances that may threaten public health (Arizona Revised Statute Title 36-601). Sewage lines: shall be properly connected to a sanitary sewer; shall not contain any leaks; and shall provide proper drainage (elevated with supports), to prevent any public health nuisances at all Mohave County Park campgrounds.
  • Converted school busses or other converted vehicles will not be permitted in the RV park.
  • Check out time in the RV Park is noon. Patrons who intend to extend their stay must do so by 10:30 AM.
  • Day Use hours are Sunrise to Sunset.
  • Each RV space will accommodate only one RV and no more than 2 other vehicles. Removal of camper shells is not permitted.
  • All RV’s are to be parked parallel to the utility slab and facing the direction of the pull through.
  • Disabled vehicles are prohibited in the park. All RV’s, trailers, and vehicles entering the park must display current vehicle registration.
  • No additional guests, pets, nor vehicles may be added to the original registration without prior approval of the Park Superintendent.
  • All park guests and visitors must stop at the entry station during business hours and make contact with park staff.
  • No storage sheds, fences, skirting, dog houses, outbuildings, storage containers, or storage of any non-RV item is permitted.
  • All external devices or equipment must be attached to the RV without ground support.
  • Absolutely no work or repairs may be performed on vehicles or watercraft in the campground at any time.
  • Use of park water to wash vehicles is prohibited.
  • Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Generators, loud music, and excessive noise is not permitted. Offensive parties will be evicted from the park upon a second notice from the Park Ranger.
  • Park guests will keep their assigned campsite free of litter and uncluttered at all times.
  • Campfires are only permitted in designated areas. All fires must be attended by an adult at all times.
  • Items may not be attached to trees, utility pedestals, or any other park property.
  • Drying laundry at campsites is prohibited.
  • Dishwashing and fish cleaning at park water supplies and restrooms is prohibited.
  • “Gray water” usage is prohibited.
  • Coasting vehicles are not permitted for use on any park roadway. Bicycles may be used if ridden responsibly in compliance with laws.
  • Playing on park roadways and loitering at the restrooms is prohibited. Parents are responsible for children’s safety and behavior.
  • Park speed limit is enforced at 15 mph.
  • Vehicles are not permitted off of park roadways.
  • Property may not be left unattended for more than 24 hours without permission from a Park Ranger. Property may be impounded after 72 hours at the owner’s expense.
  • The park and employees are not liable regarding damage and/or loss of personal property.
  • Noncompliance with the above rules may lead to eviction if the visitor is not cooperative with park policies.
  • NO tents permitted in RV sites or adjacent to Vacation Homes.

Pets Regulations

  • Pets are allowed, subject to owner’s ability to control them.
  • A maximum number of 2 pets total permitted.
  • Owners are responsible for the pet’s actions and welfare.
  • Pets may not roam unrestrained at any time.
  • Owners will immediately dispose of pet waste in trash receptacles.
  • Owners will control all pet noise.
  • Rabies immunizations must be kept current.
  • Noncompliance with the above rules may lead to eviction if the visitor is not cooperative with park policies.

Long-Term RV Camping Regulations

  • Permits are issued for a period of one (1) month at a time. Renewal of permits may not exceed six months and is at the discretion of the Park Superintendent or the Parks Administrator.
  • Outdoor appliances, swing sets, or excess accumulation of property is prohibited.
  • All RV’s and travel trailers must remain road worthy in compliance with county code and display a valid and current motor vehicle registration and license plate. Mobile homes are prohibited for use in any campsite.
  • Noncompliance with the above rules may lead to eviction if the visitor is not cooperative with park policies.

Volunteer RV Camping Regulations

  • While volunteering a minimum of 100 hours per month as a Park Volunteer, that volunteer may occupy one RV space.
  • Additional units may be rented at the regular rate.
